Just as a little note. The RH&DR would have not actually have lasted today as Captain Howey said to Henry Greenly he wanted the railway to last at least 40 years. Captain Howey died in (I think) 1963. It had lasted 37 years. But in the end it was preserved. And most of the stock, such as No.8 Hurricane have been to the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway
